Working after retirement

Blogs=Money

I have been an Amazon affiliate for years. Made a few bucks here and there. I have used WordPress and tried some Amazon plug-ins with limited success. Then I came across one of the best affiliate set-ups I have seen in a while. It's called Associate-o-Matic or AOM for short. It's been around for years.

With this software you can set up Amazon stores really fast. Of course, you have to build traffic the ...

I have been in the internet business for a long time. I own and operate hundreds of sites bringing in a reasonable revenue stream. I was approached a while ago by someone interested in buying one of my websites. And I have since sold another one. Why would I sell a revenue source? I struggled with it. If a site has been making say $200 per month for years... but now I am thinking that ...

To make money on the internet should you have one big site or many smaller one?

There are different views on this. Many internet entrepreneurs set up a mega-site in a niche they are interested in. Such as a photography site. With reviews, tips and a forum. This is probably, at least for some the best way to go. You get to know the niche, and your followers. Then you monetize with ads for the ...

WPTURBO Review

The dream of all internet money makers is to have sites on autopilot. So there would be no need to add content all the time. There are tons of products doing this, and I use a few. However, there is one that combines over 21 sources of content in one neat package. Once set up on a WordPress blog - it feeds itself with content containing affiliate links from places like Amazon and ...

Mass Traffic Accelerator (MTA)

Feb 5, 2012 - NOT SO GOOD. It's basically an app that lets you post to your sites from one place. It doesn't really drive traffic. Not recommended.

This is new. As I have said before, I spend a great deal of money buying software and services to help my on-line business. Some don't work. Some work, but are difficult to use. I just signed up for the new ...

I have spent some time analyzing the performance of my websites. One of the things I work on is where to spend my resources to get the most profits from either advertising or affiliate income. It's about the value of keywords and niches. A blog/website about any hobbies/sports/entertainment usually pays much less than sites about mortgages, taxes or any law related sites. On the other hand, it's easier to get traffic for hobby sites - ...

Domain names are the real estate of the internet. Domain names with income is a hot commodity. Owning say 100 domains with income is like being the owner of an apartment building with 100 suites. The building (=domains) have an intrinsic value as do real estate and the income from the suites (=advertising/affiliate) adds to the value.

Let's take an example from my own portfolio. In Feb 2006 I hand-registered FbiBackGroundChecks.com for $12. I ...

If you are using FaceBook I am sure you have noticed the ads to the left of the window. These ads are mostly pay-per-click ads meaning when someone clicks on the ad and ends up on the advertiser's website the advertiser pays. Pretty well anyone can advertise on FaceBook. It's easy, but can get expensive really quickly. If you are selling a service or product you can either use your existing website as the ad ...

As an Internet marketer there are two yardsticks I use as signs of success: site traffic and earnings. Watching traffic grow and the associated income from a site is rewarding, but checking too often often leads to short term excitement or disappointment. And for me - with hundreds of sites - it's becoming a problem. I have designed a custom program tracking all my sites, it updates traffic stats from the servers monthly. I can't ...

If you have a blog or thinking of setting one up - the only way it will ever get the traffic you need to make any money is to feed it with unique blog posts pretty well every day. It gets tedious, but that's the way it is. One way to do this is to write many blog posts in in one sitting and feed them daily. Or, of you are using WordPress as the ...
