Working after retirement

How often in life do you sit before a blank canvas and imagine the myriad of possibilities?  In many ways, that is what the start of a retirement business can be.  To some, becoming an entrepreneur will be a very stressful experience.  Perhaps you have been an employee with a strict work schedule or a routine work load.  To others, entrepreneurship in retirement will be a welcomed and long anticipated major milestone in your life’s journey.

Musicians contemplate blank music sheets then yield the most dynamic symphonies.   Artists start with a blank canvas and create masterpieces.  Writers stare at blank pieces of paper or white computer screens and craft major novels.  Starting a business in your retirement life means you have the opportunity to take your creative impulses and paint a new future.

If you are ready to start this new life, relax; take a deep breath, allow yourself to dream.  Consider your expertise and talents.  Think of all your buried skills and gifts yet to be discovered.  There are many online resources that are available to help you on your way.  What may surprise you most is the great number of possibilities of businesses that you had never stopped to consider.  Take that first step.   Be your own boss and an entrepreneur in your retirement!
