Working after retirement

Sometimes I go and do some domain research. I am looking for domains to buy that I can develop, make some money and then flip the site. In 2011 I successfully flipped several sites, and learned a lot. Trick is to set up a site with a good domain, generate steady monthly revenues and sell the site as a mini-business.

For example, a site with $250 monthly revenues can fetch as much as 2.5 times annual revenues or more. So you make $250x12=$3,000 for a year, then sell it for $7,500 for a total profit of $10,500. Not bad for an investment of $10 for a domain name, some research end website set-up. I figured on that deal I made about $350/hour.

So needless to say, I am now on a mission to set up sites for the purpose of flipping. My latest one is on a domain I was amazed was available. Keyword research shows that over 100,000 people search on that term. And the domain is appraised at $1,900 by, a popular domain name appraising service. Not bad for a $10 investment and a few hours of work setting the site up. We'll see how it goes!

I am now working on a list of new sites I want to set up. This is my retirement plan!
