I think too much. And I am very inquisitive.

The Miscellanous Ramblings Of An Almost "Senior"

As a resident of Vancouver, BC I am saddened by the riots after the Canucks lost the Stanley Cup. I am not a hockey fan, but just want to say that the riots were caused by a bunch of idiots that are not hockey fans, nor represent our city. I think some of them came from out of town just to create havoc. I hope they rot in jail.

Three years ago I lost, over about a year 45 pounds. I was getting really fat. 5' 8" and 245 pounds. Now I am on the south side of 200 and keeping it there. How? My strategy was to realize that I needed to change the way I ate. I started to substitute carbs for vegetables. That, and working my body a little harder. Then you go to the office, and tell everybody how angry you are at this person. Your blood pressure is up, the morning is ruined not only for you but for everyone you share this with. WITH ONE EXCEPTION... the person you are angry at simply doesn't care. He or she will be an idiot for the rest of their lives, and they just don't care. They have no idea you are mad at them, it doesn't affect their day whatsoever.

What's the point of being mad at someone that ...

I got reminded this morning of a favorite saying: "Do what you enjoy and never work a day in your life".

This is especially true in retirement. To me "work" is having to drag yourself out of bed and shudder when you think of all the things you have to do at work today. Things you really would rather not do. It's like homework in school. Remember?

When you do what you enjoy - it's not work. It's part of life. Sure, in every entrepreneur's day there has to be some less fun things to do. Like accounting. However, I also believe in outsourcing so you CAN do what you like to do. When you are 59-ish - you don't have an infinite amount of days left - so live them with enjoyment.

It is useless to have a ...
