Business Ideas

What business could you see yourself in? If you answered the questions on the home page you should now have some idea. Here are some ideas.

  • Select a Business You Are Truly Interested In
  • Research a Business That Has Been Proven By Others - Preferably Other Baby Boomers
  • Have a Knowledgable Mentor
  • Analyze the Cost Of Your New Business

If you have skills from your employment.....

Consulting

Most likely if you have worked for years in the same career. Then you are very well suited to help others in the same field. Call it consulting, mentorship - whatever. Unless you are totally bored with your field, and really don't want to have anything to do with it - that's your best bet.

Blogging

Yes, as I have mentioned before it is very possible to make direct money from a blog. In addition, a blog will attract clients like flies to a flypaper if done right. A blog sharing your expertise freely will give you huge credibility. So you can have a blog for the simple reason to make some money, OR as a marketing vehicle for your services.

If you have some money to invest and you don't want to run a business

FOREX Trading

If you are reasonable computer literate, have some funds ($1,000 - $10,000) you can put in without losing your home - I have traded FOREX for a while and although risky - it can work to bolster your portfolio and even produce an income. You must be willing to learn disipline and control your emotions. I am now trading an automated system.

Consider a franchise

Before choosing a franchise for your baby boomer business you need to do a lot of due diligence. Some operators are just out to get your fee and won't back you up later.
